Abstract

This article analyzes the essence of the term "continuity" and explains the prerequisites for the realization of the principle of continuity in upbringing a personality in the period of transition from preschool to primary education, taking into account modern realities. It argumentatively proves that continuity between two stages of education can be realized considering also the consistency of goals, values, approaches, methods, and forms of work, common ideas regarding environmental approaches, and the appraisal of children’s educational achievements.
