Abstract

The article reveals the content and methods of acquainting students with the peculiarities of the sacred art of the Carpathians as an important professional training of future artists. For students majoring in 023 "Fine Arts, Decorative Arts, Restoration" we provide a selective course "Sacred Art of the Carpathians'' helping students to get to know various regional trends of sacred art. Students study the peculiarities of the Carpathians' wooden church architecture, the construction of wooden temples, the peculiarities of icon painting, the tradition of landscape and household crosses of the Carpathian region.
