Abstract

The article reveals the issue of education of patriotic feelings of the older pre-school-age children by use of children's fiction. Therefore, patriotic feelings which are nurtured by means of the artistic word, bring out the love for the heroic in children, convince that in any historical time in life there is always a place for feat, faithful service of his people and his country. The directions for the work with children in the educational space on the selection of works of art for the education of patriotic feelings are determined. Older pre-school-age children already own the literary baggage, unmistakably determine the genre features of works, understand of the essence of a particular act of a literary hero. They are interested in the artistic word and books of a certain subject and genre.
