Abstract

The article considers the relevance of the issue of mathematical competence forming in senior preschoolers, in particular the problem of logical thinking development. The key aspects of the issue of developing logical thinking in preschoolers age outlined in the article. The results of scientific researches and opinions of the scientists on the problem of logical thinking development are presented; brief analysis of educational programs for preschoolers is presented in the article.

The authors provide a list of didactic means of logical thinking development in preschool educational institutions and in the families; note the importance of logical thinking development in children in order to prepare them for school education. The content of key concepts of the research is analyzed: logic, logical thinking.
