Abstract

The article carries out a theoretical analysis of the problems of continuity in professional training of future elementary class teachers. The versatile concept of «continuity» is revealed which is traditionally regarded as a principle and explained by the specifics of the pedagogical process. Continuity is considered by the authors as a condition according to which an objective systematic connection is provided between the previous and next stages of organizing the teaching process on methodological and methodical grounds in order to optimize and adapt students to the new stages of teaching.
