Abstract

The article deals with theoretical analysis of the notions “competence” and “communicative competence” of primary school pupil’s personality in scientific paradigm. The variety in interpretation of these notions is distinguished that can be explained by novelty and at the same time complex approaches to their investigation. The structure of communicative competence is described. It is stated that teaching of the Ukrainian Language and Literature Reading requires communicative approach in order to make children use language, means of speech to make up oral and written  reports in certain style taking into consideration the circumstances of speech in the process of studying and speech practice.
