MUSEUM PEDAGOGY AS A TOOL FOR INTERACTION OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND MUSEUMS IN THE MODERN SOCIO-CULTURAL SPACE

Abstract

The article describes the essence and peculiarities of implementation in the educational process of mountain schools in a new field of pedagogical knowledge – museum Pedagogy.

The attention is focused on the fact that the museum pedagogy is now regarded as an interdisciplinary scientific discipline and practical field of educational activities, which implements the transfer of cultural experience through the pedagogical process in conditions of museum environment.

The author reveals the instruments of interaction between Carpathian museums and educational establishments through the prism of museum pedagogy, indicates its relevance and significant didactic potential in the organization of the educational process, outlines the leading trends using the achievements of museum pedagogy in the educational process.

It is stated that the Ukrainian museum pedagogy is actively looking for new forms and ways of organizing educational activities. Definition and approbation of the principles, methods and techniques of the museum work with students is one of the leading tasks in the educational process of mountain schools. An increasing number of museums adapt their proposals to the needs of educators, conduct consultations and trainings for teachers to maximize their potential of the museum collection.

The study considers the problems of the museum essence as a socio-cultural institute in the context of globalization processes of the beginning of the 21st century. Social functions of the museum and mechanisms of unification of traditional elements of museum activities are investigated.

The necessity of combining historical memory of inexhaustible knowledge and spiritual wealth, complete samples of material culture, museum exhibits and their influence on all-round development and formation of personality, attracting the inhabitants of the region to national and world historical and cultural heritage are noted.

The author analyzes the social and cultural conditions that influence the transformation of museums into centers of cultural and spiritual revival of the people, the treasury of national culture, which promote the humanization of society.
