Abstract

The article presents the results of experimental research of future foreign language teachers’ readiness for the project activity in secondary educational institutions.

            Basing on the generalized theoretical principles of the scientific study it is noted the total amount of the diagnostic and ascertain step of pedagogical research which was accomplished by using a wide range of diagnostic methods. They are: questionnaire survey for students and lecturers, generalization, synthesis, organizing, observation over the learning and cognitive activity of future foreign language teachers, accomplishment of practical works of vocational direction, analysis of student’s qualifying works.

It is pointed out that development and implementation of diagnostic tools were based on demands of objectivity, reliability and validity. Are given as well the means of author’s usage of the criteria system of students’ readiness for the project activity (these means comprise motivational, cognitive, operational and active, evaluative and resulting components).

According to the strategy of the scientific research, there have been studied the ways of defining the degrees of future teachers’ project knowledge and skills formedness. Such strategy was taken as a basis of analyzing the results of questionnaire survey for intramural and extramural students of foreign languages faculties. This let determinate the beginner level of students’ readiness for implementation the project technologies in vocational activity, in line with all criterial elements. The article also presents succession of the groundwork of experiment diagnostic step with defining the main goals of the mentioned order.

The given issue demonstrates the total amount of mathematical processing of the results received from the research, concerning each of the pointed criteria. There have been explained the conclusion and ways of further scientific developments on this problem.
