Abstract

Aim to reveal the epistemological potential of interliterary dialogue as concepts of comparative literary studies, to open its role in formation of integrative tendencies in different national literatures and processes of national and cultural self-identification.

Methods to reveal the epistemological potential of interliterary dialogue as concepts of comparative literary studies, to open its role in formation of integrative tendencies in different national literatures and processes of national and cultural self-identification.

Results It has been established that a dialogue of literatures forms new model of their union («mezhliterary synthesis»). They are generated by new meanings which define phenomenology, semantic structure and functioning of the universals of verbal-artistic art. At the same time dialogue of literatures reveals the potential of development of national identity. The new principles and methods of understanding the national identity of this or that literature, features of its manifestation and functioning are types of the dialogical relations with other national literature: opposition of myself to «Another», polemic with other point of view on the world and the person, the assimilation of “foreign” art and esthetic experience, eventually caused by immanent mechanisms of development of this national literature and culture.

Scientific novelty Traditional terms of comparative literary studies: «contact-genetic relationships» and «typological convergence» – complemented by the concept of «interliterary dialogue» that enriches the arsenal of methods of Comparative study.

Practical significance Results of research can be used at the characteristic of forms of interliterary process. Key Points of article can be demanded in courses on the theory and history of literary comparative studies.
