Abstract

The article defines the essence of inclusive education and characterizes students with
special needs. The status and problems of implementing inclusive education in Ukraine are
analyzed. The basic ethical principles of educational activities for pupils with special educational
needs are defined. The authors set emphasis on the following issues: adaptation of the physical
environment for the proper functioning of persons with disabilities; overcoming stereotypes of
teaching professionals concerning psychological acceptance of inclusion; financing institutions
with planned implementation of inclusive education; developing special educational programs for
schools with inclusive education and training of qualified professionals to work in inclusive
educational environment
