Abstract

The article concerns issues related to the importance of international law as the basis of international relations after 1945 and in the modern world. Draws attention to the illegal actions of the Russian Federation since 2014, related to the annexation of Crimea and armed aggression against Ukraine. It also shows exemplary activities of Polish diplomacy at the UN forum, emphasizing the need to return to compliance with international law, and draws attention to the need for changes in the functioning of the UN Security Council.
