Abstract

This article analyzes the recommendations «On mediation in criminal cases» № R (99) 19 of 15 September 1999. We study the concept, purpose, objectives of mediation, its place in criminal proceedings. Also the specific principles relating to this form of restorative justice, procedural conditions for its implementation that must be fixed on the regulatory level, are studied.
